Required Experience: Qualifications: The major qualifications for the executive director include: •At least five years of significant leadership, management, supervision and team-building experience; •Successful experience managing people, projects and budgets with private and public sources; •Ability to work with a board of directors, staff and constituents; •Knowledge of affordable housing, social services and nonprofit issues is highly desirable, but not required. •Salary/Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
Duties / Expectations: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (Telecommuting roll) Community Housing Resource Partners (CHR Partners) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3)nonprofit corporation founded in the belief that a safe and affordable home is the foundation of healthy communities. We develop multifamily and single family housing, as well as, provide services and opportunities for low and moderate-income individuals and families. From our initial roots within Ohio, our partnerships have grown to include communities nationwide. Our development projects, supportive services, and resource opportunities address core economic and social issues. The key to building community is creating partnerships that link services to households. CHR Partners has served community housing needs since 1993. We build community and provide services to make living better. Our partnerships maximize resources and achieve measurable success. Through meaningful collaborative efforts, CHR Partners serves community needs. Our partners include: •public resources (local, state and federal government) •private resources (individuals, business and foundations) •developers and community development corporations •faith based and secular community organizations •nonprofit organizations and housing authorities Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic executive director who has senior administrative experience in the worlds of social services, project management, budget/fiscal oversight; to be the public face of the organization; and forge relationships with affordable housing partners, community and government agencies around the country. Responsibilities: The next executive director must demonstrate the ability and experience to manage the following priorities: •Developing and implementing operating plan, budget and strategic vision; •Overseeing the creation, implementation, and evaluation of programs, services and affordable housing development opportunities that support our mission; •Hiring and managing staff located at off-site projects; •Engaging with the board to set and achieve goals. Providing regular, timely internal financial statements to the board that compare performance to budget and to the previous year or other benchmarks; •Building positive relationships with partner organizations, funders, developers, community/government agencies, and affordable housing residents; •Managing people and projects located across the United States. •Some overnight travel is required. •This is a work from home job opportunity. •Strong personal initiative with ability to work independently.
